R&B Wedding Songs

Of all music genres that exist, non of them reveals the essence of passion like Rythm & Blues does. There are many classics that have played for years and that are renowned to be first dance songs at weddings. I can think of Elvis Presley’s “Falling In Love With You”, Jesse Powell’s “You”, Frank Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight” and I could go on for hours as there are so many of them. Since R&B has been around for so long we tend to forget that it’s a very actual music style and that there are many new artist that bring a lot of fresh and well written songs that are worth being considered.

I decided to go through iTunes brand new R&B music released since January 2015 until now and even from end of 2014. I can tell you that was a lot fun since I discovered new sounds, new artists and even rediscovered some of them. I encourage you to do this as well but if you don’t have the time, I have selected the most noteworthy ballads (in my humble opinion) that you may want to dance to at your wedding.

Choosing a R&B wedding song that is not common choice is a good way to add a personal touch to your wedding and in a certain way make it your own. You can include it as part of your wedding theme by printing the lyrics or only the part that you relate to the most on a nice stationery for your guest to read or have it projected on a wall as you are dancing. It will help people understand your choice and appreciate the meaning of the song.

You can listen to the songs on Amazon or iTunes. I have provided the link for each of them so you don’t have to search for it. Enjoy!

Thanks Jenny! I love when people leave aside the comfort of a standard wedding to show their true colors. To me genuineness is what makes a wedding unforgettable. Much more then the money spent in it.
      I’m glad you liked it!
